Hedge Funds & Trading Firms

Structure
Are you an active trader who trades like a professional? Do you use options or other risk reducing hedging techniques but get no consideration in margin reduction? Do you need better and more immediate access to the market? Have you considered the option of becoming a broker-dealer and establishing a Joint Back Office (“JBO”) arrangement?

Prospectus
Hedge Funds and Trading Firms need more than an idea before implementing a trade. The firm must have a sound prospectus measuring the risk vs. reward and expectation of the fund. This is mandatory for the accredited investors and creates protection for the managers and traders of the fund. Many funds in today’s market have a basket concept, but have not articulated a clear statement of the fund's goal.

Secondly, and if not more important, the Hedge Fund or Trading Firm needs to address the Risk Management solution of the fund. What risk elements are the positions exposed to? How does the fund hedge those risk elements? How does the fund measure the risk?

Thirdly, how is the fund going to execute trades? Do they have access to floor brokers on all exchanges, off-floor Broker Dealers, Institutional trading desks, and other order flow providers? What electronic execution systems are the best for the type of trading the firm will be implementing? What software products will be in place to manage risk, execute trades, and measure the P&L of the positions?
