
Michael Williams founded Market Compass in 1999 after a decade of
experience as a member of the Pacific Exchange (PCX). Michael has
been in the front lines of the trading pits serving as an institutional
broker representing Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Smith Barney, and
Swiss Bank. Michael later became an Options Market Maker and traded in
active issues focusing on the technology and semiconductor sectors.
Michael has served on the Options Listing and Marketing Committees
for the PCX. Michael is a certified instructor for the PCX Institute and
frequently lectures throughout the country including stops at Pepperdine
Universitys MBA Program and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Michael recently co-authored Fundamentals of the Options Market with Amy S. Hoffman,
a McGraw/Hill text now in its second printing.

Amy Hoffman drives the companys vision and executes Market Compass
strategic direction. A 15 years veteran of the financial industry,
Amy develops proprietary course material based on real world
experience. Amy began her career as a commodities broker for
Chilmark Commodities where she acquired her Series 3 license. From
there, Amy moved to Oxford Investments serving as both the
compliance officer and commodities trader. Amy continued her
trading career as an Options Market Maker on the floor of the Pacific
Exchange in 1994 where she remained a market maker until 2000. Amy
has taught courses for the Pacific Exchange Institute and co-authored
the book Fundamentals of the Options Market published by McGraw/Hill.
Amy earned her B.A. from University of Arizona in Tucson.
